White Cottage Studio is said to be an old Tennis Club pavilion, although we have found no evidence to support this, it pre-dates the house and was, in the 30's, home to the housekeeper and gardener! Now set in a delightful garden it is an ideal place to visit when the Studio is open.
Mainly self taught, I retired early in order to pursue my interest in art, I paint mainly in acrylics and occasionally oils and am also a printmaker.
I studied life drawing at Southampton University with Catherine Barnes and have completed courses with the Open College of the Arts and still attend many workshops and other courses at various venues. I also run courses in printmaking; collagraphs, drypoint, etching, and photopolymer from my studio.
